B2657extensive DCIS with focal strange appearance (cqz-31, 3-31-2010)

肉眼检查：

I am signing out breast core bx this week. Today I have 25 patients with breast core bx. Most of the cases have at least two parts (for example bx with calcification and bx without calcifications in the same patient, some with different locations of lesions). I have about 70 blocks. We cut 5 levels for each blocks, plus some IHC stains and routine ER/PR/Her2/ki67 for invasive ca. You can know how many slides I have to read.I feel good i have signed out all my today's case except one case left for IHC resutl. But I feel tired. I have a case which I think it is interesting. Take a few photos and share with you.

For this case I really though microinvasin was likely in the time when I read H&E.

Lession: Pathologists should always be cautious, should be too confident in your daily practice. If you are not 100% sure of your diagnosis, please do not sign out your cases with this diagnosis. This is the basic principle for pathologists.
